Where Does Central States Offer Its Medicare Supplement Plan G?
What Benefits Does Medicare Supplement Plan G From Central States Include?
Medigap Plan G is nearly identical to a Plan F policy. Each plan gives seniors comprehensive coverage and are among the most robust of all supplements offered by Central States Indemnity Co. of Omaha. The one difference is that Plan G makes you pay the Medicare Part B deductible out-of-pocket.
Here's a quick look at what costs Plan G covers:
- Medicare Part A hospital coinsurance and all costs up to 365 days after Original Medicare benefits are exhausted
- Part A hospice care coinsurance or co-payment
- Part A deductible
- Medicare Part B preventive care coinsurance coverage
- Part B coinsurance or co-payment coverage
- Part B excess charges
- First three pints of blood for a medical procedure
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) care coinsurance coverage
- Foreign travel emergency coverage
Most supplements don't pay Part B Excess Charges. This is one of many reasons to consider this plan, particularly if you have frequent medical care needs. Excess Charges are extra costs in addition to the Medicare-approved charge. Because Plan G covers Part B Excess Charges, all of the out-of-pocket costs are paid.
Plan G coverage details are the same no matter who you get the policy from, although costs and availability will vary by carrier. We recommend shopping around to find a price that works best for you.
