What Medicare Supplements does Humana offer in Louisiana?
Humana Insurance Company offers 8 different Louisiana Medigap Plans. Each plan covers the gaps in Original Medicare differently (see Comparison Chart or check out our Review). Here's what Humana offers:
Attained Age Rated Medigap Plans: With this plan rating type your monthly premium is based on your current age. As you age your premium will increase. As an example, if you enroll in a Medigap policy at age 65 with a premium of $120, it may increase to $138 when you turn 69, and $162 at age 72. Also, Attained Age rated plans may increase with inflation.
SAVINGS OPPORTUNITY: Humana offers Medicare SELECT plan policies in some areas of Louisiana. A Select plan is a Medigap policy that requires you to use specific hospitals and, in some cases specific doctors, to get the full financial benefit of the plan. A Medicare SELECT plan pays the Medicare Part A inpatient deductible when you use a network hospital or if you use a non-network hospital for emergency care. Otherwise, you pay the inpatient deductible. Other than that it's the same as the standard Medigap plan.
