J.D. Power Ranking
In its 2023 U.S. Medicare Advantage Study, J.D. Power evaluated member satisfaction with Medicare Advantage plans based on several factors, including level of trust, customer service, and how well the provider resolves complaints. SCAN Health Plan performed well in the study, particularly in California, where it received high marks for customer satisfaction. However, specific rankings for SCAN in other states were not detailed in the study.[2]
Our Conclusion
We feel SCAN Health Plan needs to do more to engage with their members, particularly when it comes to addressing complaints. While their plans in California are rated 3.5 stars by CMS, in neighboring Arizona they only get 2.5 stars.
