Editor’s Note: This is an ambitious bill that would allow the federal government to negotiate the prices of up to 250 brand-name drugs in Medicare. President Trump’s motivation to address prescription drug costs is a wild card that could affect the fate of this bill (not many Democrates want to give the President a win before the 2020 election).
